Final Countdown
A team building exercise guaranteed to spark the competitive spirit. Final Countdown sees teams put their heads together to build and launch their own rockets. Resources are limited and time is of the essence. Which team's rocket will fly the furthest after the final countdown?
The Final Countdown will get an away day or conference off to a roaring start!
How does it work?
Following a welcome and briefing from our events coordinators, the group is split into teams. Each team is given a 'top secret' flight case containing all the information and tools needed to build a rocket.
It's far from easy and makes self-assembly furniture look like child's play. The idea is for teams to share ideas and work together to successfully construct a rocket that will launch and land safely. It's a good way to illustrate the importance of seeing a job through from inception to completion. All sorts of skills are needed from planning and resourcefulness to calculation and construction.
If constructed correctly, the rocket can soar over 1,000 feet into the air!
Points are awarded based on distance and flight time.
