The Picasso Picture Show

Looking for a creative team building activity? The Picasso Picture Show is an imaginative event with one seemingly simple objective. Teams must complete different sections of a Picasso montage after viewing it just once! Appointed communicators will be allowed to refresh memories but describing an abstract picture is no easy task.

Whilst it may seem like a simple activity at first glance, there's more to producing a work of art than you might think!

Will the teams create a masterpiece that would pass muster with Picasso or will they fail to see the bigger picture?

How does it work?

Our events facilitators will be on hand to coordinate the Picasso Picture Show and get everyone in the right frame of mind.

The group is split into teams...

During the initial briefing, each team will view a famous Picasso painting once and only for a few minutes. Using the materials supplied by our events coordinators, each team will be asked to paint their own interpretation of a section of the picture from memory and the description supplied by their appointed communicator.

There is a twist! The picture viewed during the briefing will be on a small scale. Teams will have to make allowances for this when using the canvases provided.

The Picasso Picture show literally illustrates the importance of the bigger picture. It reinforces a key message; each individual has a role to play within a team that is working to achieve a common goal. Furthermore, each team will be reminded that they don't work alone within a corporation. It takes a number of teams handling different elements of a task to achieve a successful outcome.
