The Office Olympiad
Looking for a topical team building activity? Embrace the spirit of London 2012 with our Office Olympiad! Fun, competitive and challenging, it's a nail-biting event that sees teams compete as different countries.
The Office Olympiad features all sorts of games, puzzles and team work tasks. Delegates will face everything from a giant obstacle course to giant human table football!
Will the teams make best use of individual member talents and work together to secure a spot on the winners' podium?
How does it work?
Our events coordinators will start the day with a welcome and a briefing. The group will be put into teams and the fun begins!
Teams will be assigned a country name and supplied with a flag making kit and information pack. There are decisions to be made before the games begin. Teams need to allocate cheerleaders to boost morale and create their own suitably stirring anthem.
Time is of the essence, as is effective team work. The teams that complete the challenges in the fastest time have the best chance of winning a gold medal at the end of the event.
Some games need all team members whilst others only require a few. Will the teams display sound judgement, awareness and perception when deciding which members to put forward for specific challenges?
Team building events include:
Scrabble Archery
All team members from each country compete in our take on the classic word game.
Giant Relay Race
Our version of the traditional race format has a giant twist! One athlete from each country must run across our tricky moving carpets operated by opposing countries. Here's the twist - they have to do it wearing a 10ft giant costume with matching shoes!
Boxed In
Countries go head-to-head for glory in our bouncy boxing ring. Boxed In requires strength, speed and agility - who has the skills to come out on top in our funny fisticuffs event?
Giant Human Table Football
The beautiful game just got bigger! Countries compete for the honour of being top of the table in our 7-a-side knockout event. Will teams remember to cover their backs and select subs in case our ref decides to show someone the red card?
Hurdles
We've taken the traditional event format and added inflatables, hats and cups of water. The country that makes it over the inflatable hurdles to the finish line with the most water left in their cup wins the event.
Obstacle Course Triathlon
The ultimate test of team work! Counties compete in heats to get round our bouncy obstacle course. We've added an inflatable basketball hoop at the end. More hoops mean more points!
The Office Olympiad ends with the winning teams taking their places on the podium for the medal presentation.
