Christmas Activities

Client Sky UK wanted a team building event that was engaging, creative and incorporated plenty of fun. The event needed to accommodate 30 sales delegates and Off Limits Event Professionals achieved the brief set out by the client.

The Brief

Sky UK Limited is a telecommunications company serving the whole of the UK.

Client Sky provides television, broadband and internet services to consumers and businesses across the UK. Sky have booked team building activities with Off Limits Events previously and wanted an event that was fun, engaging and gave employees the chance to relax and get to know their colleagues in the great outdoors.

The Big Event

The event was held at the stunning Waterton Park - the large, spacious venue suited the clients full schedule. The day consisted of meetings, food with a fun team building activity thrown in the middle. The delegates were split into teams for the Robot Wars meets Wacky Races team building event, Soap Box Derby. After delegates were briefed and were split into teams and supplied with soapbox construction kits. The vehicles constructed were created using the tools provided with some elbow grease thrown in. Each team put its vehicle through its MOT and had to compete against other in the team trials: speed slalom, traffic light burn off, hill climb and grand prix finale. The fun and fascinating Soap Box Derby team building challenge meant that a positive team spirit and atmosphere was achieved during the day.

The Outcome

The client had a fantastic time on the event and was delighted with the outcome. Trades Operations Executive, Lorraine Anderson commented “We had really positive feedback from everyone, the fun event helped bring everyone together and communicate as one team. The people that attended were sales people and the competition and banter between the teams was infectious. They loved the Soapbox Derby event. Also I'd like to thank the guys who came to each of the 3 events to help keep everyone in check and make sure everyone had fun”
