Europe’s first Park Regis, and the brand’s 17th globally, the Birmingham hotel now sits alongside some of the world’s greatest locations including Sydney, Singapore and Dubai.

2. What are the top 3 attributes of this hotel?
Level 16
With its thriving hospitality scene, fantastic transport links and prosperous and diverse economic landscape, Birmingham provides the perfect backdrop for world-leading corporate events.

The Park Regis invested £850,000 to transform its entire 16th floor into an exclusive 5,250 sq ft conference and events space, complete with floor-to-ceiling windows and fabulous 360° views across the city. The executive 15th floor has also been transformed into additional meeting rooms and break-out areas.

Guests attending an event on Level 16 can enjoy their own dedicated ground-floor entrance, enabling them to check in and drop off bags, if they are staying overnight, before going straight to their event.

With a capacity for up to 300 in theatre format, 250 for a dinner and 180 cabaret style, combined with 253 bedrooms, Level 16 makes Park Regis the new talking point on the Birmingham conference scene.

1565 Restaurant, Bar and Terrace
The hotel’s 1565 Restaurant, Bar & Terrace, located on Level 4, has been carefully designed as an opulent, luxurious setting in which guests can expect second-to-none service and a fine dining experience, while the hotel also hosts live music in the bar every Friday.

The restaurant features a range of signature dishes across its full A la carte menu and superb bar menu, while it also offers a fabulous Sunday lunch carvery, a selection of delectable afternoon teas and an extensive breakfast buffet. The bar boasts a vast and varied drinks menu, complete with a wonderful cocktail list, including signature classics and seasonal favourites.

The 1565 Terrace is one of only a few unique outdoor spaces in the city, and throughout the summer, the hotel has a big screen showing sport fixtures and major events for visitors to enjoy.

3. Do you see a change in the corporate industry regarding use of the hotels for different activities (team building events over conferences)?
The conference and events industry are ever evolving. More companies are choosing to move away from the traditional sit-down meeting format and are instead incorporating more interactive methods of communication.

Park Regis Birmingham has hosted events that have incorporated invigorating yoga sessions, the Haka rugby dance and confidence catwalks. Clients are becoming increasingly focused on employee engagement using team building rather than spoken word. Team building creates trust, mitigates conflict, encourages communication, and increases collaboration.

The Level 16 events space is a blank canvas that can be used for a wealth of different events, and combined with the hotel’s outdoor terrace, provides the perfect backdrop for every kind of meeting.

4. Can you describe a day in the life at Park Regis?
With such a varied portfolio of clients and events taking place at the hotel, no two days are ever the same at Park Regis Birmingham. The team works closely and collaboratively on a daily basis to align their targets and outline key incentives for bookings, with a view to ensuring information is passed through the business transparently so that clients always receive a seamless experience.

One thing is always certain though; you can always guarantee something exciting is happening at the hotel - whether it’s an exclusive gala dinner on Level 16 for 300 guests, hundreds of people gathering on the 1565 Terrace for the World Cup semi-finals or a charity abseil down the side of the building with Heart FM presenters.

5. What kind of atmosphere does the hotel offer?
Upon arrival at Park Regis Birmingham, there is an air of luxury and decadence with a personal and warm touch. The dedicated sales and events team ensures every booking is tailor-made to the requirements of each individual client. This creates a sense of trust and a personal bond between the staff and its guests, which is clear to see throughout the hotel and their stay.

6. What is your favourite team building event?
The ‘Smart Phone Treasure Hunt’, is always a popular team building event - its versatile, flexible and shows off the wonderful city of Birmingham. Otherwise if it’s a Friday afternoon – who doesn’t love a bit of cocktail making?

7. What is one main characteristic Park Regis offers over other establishments?
Birmingham benefits from superb central connectivity in the UK yet before Level 16 at the Park Regis was unveiled, there was a distinct lack of luxurious venues in the city centre that could host larger numbers.

With its unrivalled 360° views across the city and a capacity for up to 300 guests, Level 16 at Park Regis Birmingham is a completely unique space in the city that has been specially designed to cater for every kind of event - from lavish celebrations and parties to corporate conferences and exhibitions.
